Fishing Sunglasses

Sunglasses for Fishing

When fishing a good pair of sunglasses are an absolute essential, staring at the water all day, especially in sunny conditions, exposes your eyes to not only direct sunlight but the glare of the reflected light coming off the water.

Sunlight contains harmful UV rays that can damage eyes, fishing therefore can be the cause of double the damage if you do so without a decent pair of shades with 100% UV blocking lenses.

To prevent the annoyance of the glare, which can affect your ability to see the water, distinguish shapes and perhaps land that once in a lifetime catch, you need a god pair of polarised sunglasses. Luckily there is a huge range of excellent polarised shades on offer, whose lens coating will cut out 100% of this glare.

Perhaps the best range for fishing are the Bolle Marine range, whose lenses are made using Offshore Blue and Inland Gold pigments that improve the clarity of shapes out on the water whilst cutting out glare and helping to improve colours in fading light conditions, giving you longer to catch the dinner.

Oakley polarised range are also a good choice for the sporting angler, their technology is top of the range and helps improve visual clarity, with the pure Plutonite lenses, the UV blockers, being set in wrap around frames that prevent light from entering the eyes through the side.

Maui Jim’s are also an excellent choice as the polarised lenses, seen as the best that money can buy, are made with special earth elements that actually improve the clarity of non-harmful colours, again giving you longer on the water whilst improving your game.

For the professional fisherman who likes to bring some style to the water you have the Serengeti range, elegant and sophisticated, the polarised lenses are also approved by ophthalmologists.
